Kamikochi Nishi-itoya Mountain lodge ligger 47 km fra Japan Ukiyo-e Museum og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon samt have og fælles opholdsstue. We had a wonderful time at the Nisha-itoya lodge. The staff were very attentive and helpful and looked after us so well. The Japanese food was wonderful and seemed to get better every night we stayed and they were able to accommodate my fussiness and my partner’s veganism. The public bath had a gorgeous view of the mountains.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Nice was super friendly and the ryokan is very nice. They also serve good food at the on site restaurant.

Hotel Fuki no Mori ligger 20 minutters kørsel fra JR Nagiso Station med hotellets gratis transport. Gæsterne kan gå tur i haven eller i de naturskønne områder omkring hotellet. smukke omgivelser og meget tradionelt. onsen var super med sauna, isbar, inden og udendørs onsen.

Yorozuya ligger 7 minutters gang fra Yudanaka Station og byder på varme kilder, spabad samt værelser i japansk stil med egen terrasse og eget badeværelse. this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

Oshi Ryokan ligger blot 5 minutters gang fra den historiske Togakushi-helligdom og tilbyder traditionel indkvartering i det fredelige bjergområde, der brugte til pilgrimme. This has marked a highlight of our trip, defining what traditionally lived Japanese hospitality feels like. We were deeply touched by the degree to which guests needs are quietly being catered to - repeatedly. We can highly recommend staying at this Ryokan, even if you don’t plan to do any of the numerous activities around. We will surely come back here for when the skiing seasons kicks off. We feel very thankful to have met these remarkable beings running the place.

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya ligger blot 10 minutters kørsel fra Snow Monkey Park og tilbyder enkel japansk indkvartering med gratis WiFi. We stayed at many ryokans on our trip. None came close to Yamazakiya. The host family are friendly beyond belief, always smiling, always helpful. We got a free pick-up from the train, drop-off to the train and round trip to the snow monkey park. The place is cute, we had a huge room with fluffy, comfy tatami beds and a sitting area. Everyone got yukatas to wear around the house. It's a small place with two private onsens and we were easily able to book both for an hour for our group of four, giving us the chance to try two different rooms. We had messaged ahead to book dinner (good English spoken), a vegetarian option was no problem and my, what a treat we got. It must have been 10+ little courses, fine dining at its best. All around, highly, highly recommended! If you enter through the front door, don't forget to take a stroll out the back door - it leads straight onto the village's main street, filled with many cute, ancient houses.

Kadowakikan ligger 3 minutters gang fra skisportsstedet Nozawa Onsen og tilbyder ski til dør-adgang, varmt kildebad og gratis wi-fi. Everything about this hotel is awesome. If you want an authentic Japanese experience with a super friendly and helpful host I would really recommend this hotel to you. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the onsen downstairs is great, I could keep on going, its all superb.
